COVID-19 UPDATE AND OFFICE POLICIES

 

Due to the recent outbreak of the novel COVID-19 virus, we are providing patients with alternatives to in office visits, including telemedicine visits.  If you do need to be seen in person, please contact the office for an appointment.  Extra precautions are being made to keep the environment sanitized.  If you need to discuss a medical issue, a telephone or video appointment can also be scheduled with your doctor.  

Patients are encouraged to come in for : routine scheduled childhood vaccines,  pre-natal care, medical issues that require an in-person visit. 

After-hours clinics are still being provided.

As a rostered patient in a Peninsula Family Health Organization,  we ask you NOT TO USE OUTSIDE WALK-IN CLINICS. You have access to the after hour clinics of : Dr. D. Goswami/Dr. R. Goswami/Dr. Rana/Dr. Kevin Grant/Dr. David Bak/Dr. P. Kundi/Dr. K. Kundi/Dr. A. Kundi/Dr. Steve Lawrence/Dr. M. Ali/Dr. B. Mikhail. You will also have access to the Telephone Health Advisory Service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Will you notify me of results?

  • If you have any abnormal results, we will contact you immediately,

 

What are your walk-in hours?

  • Available for our rostered patients. Please call our office for more information.

 

How do I reach you after hours?

  • Dial our office number where our answering service will answer your calls. They will be able to forward the message to the appropriate person.

 

What is your narcotics policy?

  • Narcotics are ONLY prescribed if warranted by medical investigations and clinical judgement. Narcotics will not be prescribed in any after-hours clinics. We are not responsible for releasing tablets early if you have lost them. There are no narcotics kept on our premises.

 

How long will it take me to see the specialist?

  • Referrals are done the same day you see your doctor. Each specialist has a waiting list that is variable.

What do I do if I need refills?

  • We ask that you be responsible for anticipating the need for refills and make appointments accordingly

 

How do I get in contact with someone in an emergency?

  • Emergencies should always dial 911. 

 

* Eye exams are covered by OHIP for those under age 20 and those over age 65 - ONCE A YEAR

* OHIP PLUS - as of 

January 1, 2018, more than 4,400 drug products are free for anyone age 24 years or younger

  • Dentists, Podiatrists, Pedorthists, Chiropractors, Optometrists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Counsellors, Registered massage therapists are not covered.
